Nepal's star leg spinner did not get a chance in the beginning two matches of IPL 2019. Delhi Capitals won the first match against Mumbai Indians and lost the second match with Chennai Super Kings.

The second match with CSK, everybody was expecting Sandeep Lamichhane will play but they brought Amit Mishra in the team. There was still one space for an overseas player but they remained on three.

After Delhi Capitals lost the match by 6 wickets, cricket experts and medias started to criticize DC for not giving chance to Sandeep Lamichhane.

Australian former cricketer Brad Hodge said "Delhi missed Sandeep Lamichhane. He would have been a threat alongside Amit Mishra".

Indian former cricketers also raised a question of why Sandeep Lamichhane was not given a chance?

Indian top news channel Aaj Tak cricket sport presenter Vikrant Gupta also said why DC did not put him in Playing 11?

Espncricinfo also mentioned "Did Delhi miss an additional spinner? " in the video.


After huge questions about Sandeep Lamichhane of not playing against CSK. Delhi Capitals are now preparing to bring Sandeep Lamichhane in the team by replacing Rahul Tewatia or Keemo Paul. The next match is on March 31 against Kolkata Knight Riders in their own home ground, Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.

Tewatia and Keemo Paul have played two opening matches but could not perform well. So Delhi Capitals are on the plan to make change on saturday match against Kolkata Knight Riders and make the fulfilment of an additional spinner in the team.
