Nokia adopting Android: Good idea or Bad idea?

As we all know the the smartphone giant before some years was Nokia. But due to the rapid growth of android based smartphones especially Samsung and other multinational brands, the popularity of Nokia gradually went down. Although Nokia made some good attempts to re-establish itself a a strong brand in smartphone arena by launching Windows based phones with "Lumia" series phones. While Nokia introduced Windows based Lumia smartphone and insisted that their devices were on top of the line, the smartphone giants like Samsung and Apple continued to advance their respective smartphones, capturing most of the market share of the international smartphones sales all over the world.
If a smartphone giant like Samsung is struggling to gain profits year over year, a company like Nokia is going to have even tougher time to increase their sales and occupy more market sales enough  to keep making smartphones

It will be a tough road for Nokia to rebuild its own fame and brand name after its decision to launch android based smartphones. There is already a fierce competition in android market as most of the Chinese brands are dominating the smartphone giant Samsung, mainly in the mid-range budget phones. The Chinese smartphone brands have proved to be one of the market leader in android smartphone market as their presence in overall smartphone sales all over the world is increasing.
If a smartphone giant like Samsung struggles with gaining profits year over year, a company like Nokia is going to have even tougher time to increase their sales and occupy more market sales enough  to keep making smartphones.

With the own fan following of iPhone and Chinese smartphones along with Samsung, Nokia will have to introduce unique and different concept smartphones in order to show a great presence in the competitive market. Likewise they have to look at the price range and compromise the price of their smartphones especially for the Asian market. So Nokia adopting Android to regain its lost market share and the fame seems little bad here.

However, Nokia's attempt to comeback by adopting android platform after the series of unsuccessful attempts to rebuild its position in smartphone market seems good idea as most of the people were expecting Nokia to have a comeback and many people were also wishing to see Nokia using android platform .So, from this perspective, it may be a good idea for Nokia to launch android smartphones.
