SNAPCHAT SMARTPHONE: IS SNAPCHAT REALLY WORKING ON SMARTPHONE?

So how many of us enjoy snapchat selfies? Snapchat has become one of the trends nowadays as its easy and wonderful photo and video effects have attracted each and everyone. While we are enjoying the cool and interesting features offered by it, Snapchat is working for something new. Whether it's a rumour or fact, it is said that Snapchat is planning to launch their next product that could probably be a smartphone. Sounds cool,right?

Snapchat has recently hired nearly 50 hardware engineers and product designers, which may suggest that the firm is looking beyond being just a camera app. The smartphone to be launched is said to have some cool features that positions the camera and messaging features at the forefront. A marketing firm based on California has recently unveiled a concept handset equipped with a 360-degree camera and also has buttons that let users scroll through filters.It has also included a one touch capture function for easy sharing.

Not only does this concept combine what a majority of people use their smartphones for, messaging and taking pictures, but it allows users to do everything with one hand – letting them easily capture real-life moments.The Snapchat phone would let users easily sync the two by swiping a button on the home screen.And because there is a 360-degree camera in the smartphone's design, it would expand the area that users can capture while wearing the glasses.

The concept phone would also allow third –party apps to be integrated into the phone's messaging experience.'You can message a friend a Spotify song,' said Asano.'With one hand and one swipe you can send it.

There is also a Discover screen that combines GPS, Snapchat Stories and advertisers. Users can view Stories of their friends nearby or see the most recent content shared on the app. And Snapchat's smartphone would sport a ghost-shaped  home button.

Snapchat is increasingly facing competition from the likes of Instagram and its new Stories feature, and with the company in need of something big and new to keep customers engaged talk has turned to the idea of a Snapchat smartphone. So what we can hope is that just like the app, Snapchat could be able to bring some uniqueness in the smartphone category.
